The Yamaha staff set out to create a method book that would encourage students to learn music and keep it in their lives. This method book, which has been very successful, starts out with a fingering chart and a practice chart so that students can learn their notes and keep track of their daily practice. From there, the book teaches the different notes on each instrument and how to read the musical staff. Through the course of this method, students will enjoy learning about their instrument, playing many familiar melodies and songs, playing solos and duets, and learning music theory and history. It is a wonderful method that covers all of the basics very well.
